One of the greatest privileges Masonry has given me is the opportunity not only to educate young people, but also to recognize their achievements.

 

Each year, the Grand Master's Youth in Excellence Award honors outstanding young people from Ohio's Masonic youth organizations who demonstrate leadership, service, character, and dedication to their communities. As Butler County Representative for the Second Masonic District, I have had the privilege of helping identify and nominate deserving candidates whose lives reflect those ideals.

In 2026, I was honored to nominate our district's candidate from DeMolay.

 

In 2025, I nominated our district's candidate from Rainbow Girls.

 

Although only one young person ultimately receives the statewide award each year, every nomination tells an inspiring story of service, leadership, and personal growth. Being part of that process has reminded me that one of the most meaningful ways we preserve the future of Masonry is by encouraging the next generation of leaders today.
