Fascination with Weather
I have been fascinated by the weather since my youth. During my junior year of high school, I joined a program that allowed students to explore potential college fields or gain work experience. I had the incredible opportunity to attend Cook College's School of Meteorology at Rutgers University, where I assisted a Meteorology professor on various projects. Although I didn’t pursue a career in meteorology, this experience deepened my passion for the weather. One notable project I worked on involved investigating whether moon phases impacted peach farmers in Southern New Jersey, which I presented at a High School Symposium for science students in New Jersey.
As an adult, I pursued my passion for the weather by receiving training on becoming a weather spotter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Although I couldn’t get involved there, my move to Ohio reignited my interest. I established an advanced home weather station, a significant upgrade from the rudimentary one I had as a kid. Here, you’ll find the detailed reports from my station, reflecting my lifelong fascination with meteorology. (The station is currently down for repairs, but will be back online shortly).
